Anthem Community Angels is a program that recognizes community "heroes", people in our local community who have led, created or otherwise been instrumental in small, informal activities that make our community better. Examples are building a playground, raising money to pay for something essential that a family could not afford, involvement in youth athletics, etc.

A total of four honorees will be chosen before the conclusion of the 2011-12 season. Each honoree will be recognized at a home game in an on-ice ceremony and will receive a number of prizes from Anthem and the Pirates, including a framed Pirates jersey. Anthem will also make a $500.00 donation in the honoree’s name to the non-profit of his or her choice.
