The Portland Pirates are committed to help several key charities and organizations
during the 2010-2011 season including the United Way of Greater Portland, Gary's
House, the Barbara Bush Children's Hospital at Maine Medical Center, STRIVE and the
Children's Museum of Maine.
During the upcoming season the Pirates will again be extremely active in the
community with appearances at local schools, businesses and charity events.

Over the course of the 2010-11 season, the Pirates will
continue to be involved in events that support local charities and community
outreach programs in the Portland area. To learn more about the Pirates involvement

Portland Pirates mascots, Crackers and Salty Pete, have earned wide-spread popularity
throughout Maine as a result of their game night entertainment during Portland Pirates
games at the Cumberland County Civic Center and at various public appearances
(including private parties).
