AMERICAN HOCKEY LEAGUE
In operation since 1936, the AHL is celebrating its 72nd anniversary this season and continues to serve as the top development league for all 30 National Hockey League teams. Nearly 80 percent of all NHL players today are AHL graduates, and last year more than 6.3 million fans attended AHL games across North America. ANIMALS
The Cumberland County Civic Center welcomes Guide or Assistance Dogs utilized by the disabled or visually impaired. All other animals are prohibited.

AUTOGRAPHS
Autographed items can be purchased at the Portland Pirates Team Store on 94 Free Street, or online at www.portlandpiratesstore.com. A Pirates player signs autographs at the Allied Home Mortgage Autograph Table in the main lobby during the 2nd intermission of all home games. In courtesy to all interested fans, one item may be autographed per person.
BAGS, BACKPACKS AND PURSES
For security purposes, only small personal bags (purses, baby bags, etc.) will be permitted inside the Cumberland County Civic Center, and may be subject to search at all entrances. Large bags, coolers, and backpacks are not permitted. There are no storage lockers on the premises.
BANNERS AND SIGNS
Fans are allowed to bring banners and signs into the Cumberland County Civic Center, however, they must not block the view of others watching the games and cannot be in conflict with Pirates sponsorship agreements or be offensive or distasteful. The Pirates/Cumberland County Civic Center retain the right to remove banners.

Regular Civic Center Box Office (45 Spring Street) hours are Monday through Friday 9:30 A.M. to 5:30 P.M. during the winter and Monday through Friday 9:30 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. during the summer. CAPTAIN'S CLUB
The Captain's Club is perfect for client entertaining, group events and special occasions. The room is located inside the Cumberland County Civic Center and can accommodate up to 60 people. CELEBRITY SOFTBALL CHALLENGE
The Portland Pirates team up with the Portland Sea Dogs and the Barbara Bush Children's Hospital for the Celebrity Softball Challenge presented by Ameriprise Financial. The event raises awareness and funds for the Maine Children's Cancer Program. In its first two years, the event has raised over $22,000 for the Maine Children's Cancer Program. CHILD TICKET POLICY
Any child two years or older must have their own ticket for their seat. Youth (16 and under) tickets are available at discounted rates.

CONCESSIONS
Concession stands are located throughout the arena on the concourse and in the main lobby (Penalty Box Grill). Hot dogs, popcorn, cotton candy, nachos, combo meals, chips, peanuts and candy can be found in designated concession stand stations. Aquafina water, Pepsi soft drinks, and cold draft Bud, Bud Light, Shipyard and Gritty's beer accompany the wide range of food selections.

CRACKERS' GOLF CLASSIC
The Portland Pirates Foundation hosts the annual Crackers Golf Classic to raise funds to be distributed to greater Portland community non-profits. The golf tournament is on the first Monday of October during the team's training camp and the entire Pirates team is involved in the event. The Portland Pirates and the Cumberland County Civic Center accept American Express, MasterCard and Visa credit cards (Civic Center also accepts Discover). Credit Cards are not accepted at the Concession Stands (food and beverage) in the Cumberland County Civic Center, but are accepted at the retail stands (see merchandise/souvenirs). Personal checks are accepted at the merchandise stand(s) with a photo ID. There is a $25 charge for all returned checks.

DAY OF HOCKEY
A Day of Hockey is a program to raise funds and awareness for The Barbara Bush Children's Hospital at Maine Medical Center. The day-long event includes the Salty Pete's "Skate for Kids," a Pirates game and a skate with the Pirates team fundraiser and other hockey related activities. From the South: Take I-95 North - Take Exit 44 (South Portland), this will now be I-295 - Take Exit 7 (Franklin Street) - Proceed through four (4) sets of traffic lights - At fifth traffic light, turn right (Middle Street) - Proceed straight for approximately 1/2 mile (Middle Street will become Spring Street) - Civic Center and parking garage will be on right.

DISABLED GUEST ACCESSIBILITY
Persons with disabilities who require special seating arrangements should call the Civic Center box office at 775-3458 and request accessible seating. There are reserved parking spaces in the public parking garage next to the Civic Center for persons with disabilities. There is a $5 fee for parking in the garage. There is a wheelchair accessible ramp at the Spring St. lobby entrance to the Civic Center. There is also a "drop-off" zone on the Spring St. side of the Civic Center. Disabled patrons with oversized vans and buses can contact the Civic Center at 775-3481 and make arrangements for parking.
EMERGENCY EVACUATION
The Civic Center is equipped with a modern state-of-the-art emergency evacuation alarm system. All patrons should familiarize themselves with the closest exit to their seating location and leave the Civic Center immediately in the unlikely event that an emergency evacuation is necessary.
EVENING WITH THE PIRATES
"Evening with the Pirates" is held by the Portland Pirates Foundation to raise funds for local charities and community programs in the greater Portland area. Those who attend are treated to live music, entertainment, and a live and silent auction. Guests are encouraged to come dressed as Pirates! The team is in attendance throughout the entire night. The Funtown Splashtown Family Fun Zone hosted by Jolly John is an alcohol-free seating and entertainment area in section AA of the Cumberland County Civic Center. GAME DATE AND TIME CHANGES
All game dates and times are subject to change. In the event a game date change should occur, the Pirates will notify Season Ticket holders and the general public using local media outlets. Gates open one hour prior to game time for all Portland Pirates home games.
GOALS FOR SUCCESS
The "Goals for Success" program, sponsored by Healthy Maine Partnerships, Let's Go! and Aquafina, focuses on and emphasizes goal setting and positive lifestyle choices through the eyes of a Pirates player and is conducted at local elementary and middle schools from November through March each season. GUEST CONDUCT
The Portland Pirates and the Cumberland County Civic Center are committed to providing a fun, entertaining, exciting and safe environment for all of our guests. Guests interfering with the event or causing offense to other guests may be asked to leave the facility and may be subject to prosecution.
HOCKEY SCHOOLS

INTERMISSION ENTERTAINMENT
Chuck-a-Puck, Kids Score-o and other intermission activities – including youth hockey games, award presentations and fan contests - vary each game. LOST AND FOUND
If you lose an item during the game, please contact any Pirates game staff member or any Civic Center usher for assistance. Found items can be turned into the Civic Center Administrative office located on the Free Street side of the main lobby.
LOST/STOLEN TICKETS (Season Ticket Holder)
If you misplace or lose your ticket(s) for any game, please inform a Pirates representative at the Customer Service Booth, or call the Pirates' office at (207) 828-4665 ext. 350. Replacement tickets will be issued. Each Season Ticket Holder is permitted replacement tickets (1 per account) two (2) times during the year. On the third and each subsequent time you require replacement tickets, Season Ticket Holders will be charged a $2 per ticket replacement fee.
MASCOTS
The Pirates boast two popular mascots, Salty Pete and Crackers, who have become staples in the community through their attendance at non-profit events, parades, corporate functions and Pirates home games. In 2003, they proudly hosted 20 fellow league mascots at the 2003 Dodge AHL All-Star Classic, participating in events throughout the city. Puck Pals are locally owned businesses, organizations and individuals who make a difference in the lives of area children, families and adults serviced by the United Way of Greater Portland partner agencies by providing tickets to those who otherwise would not be able to attend a Pirates game at the Civic Center. Portland Pirates Hockey is broadcast on The Bay 1490 and 1400 AM, WTME/AM 780 Rumford, WKTQ/AM 1450 South Paris, and 1240/AM CNN Radio Lewiston/Auburn. Fans can watch all 80 games over the internet through the B2network on www.portlandpirates.com for a fee of $6 a game and watch Pirates Hockey on Time Warner Cable.
RE-ENTRY POLICY
The Civic Center does not allow exiting and re-entering of patrons during events. Please speak to an event staff member if you have a personal emergency that requires that you temporarily exit the Civic Center.
REFUND POLICY
Tickets for Civic Center events may not be refunded or exchanged. This includes instances of inclement weather. However, events are subject to change without notice. Check www.portlandpirates.com for current schedules.

Public restrooms are conveniently located in the main lobby and concourse sections of the Cumberland County Civic Center.

SECURITY
The Portland Pirates, American Hockey League, and the Cumberland County Civic Center have implemented a number of security measures for the protection of everyone at our games. Please be aware of the following: fans entering the Cumberland County Civic Center may be subject to security checks by searches, pat downs, and/or metal detecting equipment. Baby bags and purses will be allowed in, but might be inspected at all entrances. Large bags, coolers, and backpacks will not be allowed to enter the building.
SMOKING POLICY
Smoking is not permitted inside the Civic Center per Maine Law. Outside smoking is allowed at the discretion of the Civic Center during intermissions at select exit doors.
STROLLERS
Strollers are permitted, but they cannot block aisles and they must be stored as directed by event staff.

The Dodge Pick-up window is located in the Civic Center lobby and opens 90 minutes prior to game time. All individuals who wish to pick up tickets at the Dodge Pick-up window must have a photo ID, and only individuals in whose name the tickets were left may pick them up.
