The Portland Pirates Foundation, formed in July, 2003 is a
501(c)(3) Maine public charitable corporation, representing the philanthropic arm of Portland
Pirates LLC.
The mission of the Portland Pirates Foundation is to enrich and impact the region
through educational, sports-based, community-building and fundraising, programs.

12th Annual Evening with the Pirates
The 2010 Evening with the Pirates, presented by Irving Oil, was held on Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at the Holiday Inn By the Bay to benefit the Portland Pirates Foundation and local charities. |
| The Portland Pirates Foundation, through its leadership, relationships and through
the communication channels of the Pirates hockey team, will advance knowledge
and messages, improve the performances of the charitable causes above and
interact with and engage others to follow in a way that individual donors can not,
employing a context-focused philanthropic strategy. The Pirates host many events
during the season to raise funds and awareness for each of the above organizations,
below is a list of the upcoming events. |

Day of Hockey
Day of Hockey to benefit the Barbara Bush Children's Hospital at Maine Medical
Center. Over the past six seasons, the event has raised
over $65,000 for The Barbara Bush Children's Hospital at Maine Medical Center

Evening with the Pirates
The Pirates annual event held at the Holiday Inn by the Bay. The evening includes live music,
silent and live auctions and plenty of food and beverages from the area's top restaurants. Click

Shirts off their Backs
Each year following the Pirates final regular season home game the Portland
Pirates give the fans the shirts off their backs. Funds raised from the raffle
are donated to the Portland Pirates Foundation. |

Puck Pals
Locally owned businesses, organizations, clubs and individuals have the
opportunity to make a difference in the lives of area children, families
and adults serviced by the United Way of Greater Portland partner agencies.
