Pirates Raise Funds at Evening with the Pirates
The 2007 Evening with the Pirates on March 13, 2007 at the Holiday Inn
By the Bay raised $22,000 to benefit the Portland Pirates Foundation

| The Portland Pirates Foundation, through its leadership, relationships and through
the communication channels of the Pirates hockey team, will advance knowledge
and messages, improve the performances of the charitable causes above and
interact with and engage others to follow in a way that individual donors can not,
employing a context-focused philanthropic strategy. The Pirates host many events
during the season to raise funds and awareness for each of the above organizations,
below is a list of the upcoming events. |

Day of Hockey
Day of Hockey to benefit the Barbara Bush Children's Hospital at Maine Medical
Center The Pirates will host "A Day of Hockey" again during the 2007-08 season.
Over the past three seasons, the Pirates and the two high schools have raised
over $35,000 for The Barbara Bush Children's Hospital at Maine Medical Center

Evening with the Pirates
The Pirates are preparing for their tenth Evening with the Pirates this
season at the Holiday Inn by the Bay. The evening will include live music,
a fashion show with the players and their families, silent and live auctions
and plenty of food and beverages from the area's top restaurants. A date for

Shirts off their Backs
Each year following the Pirates final regular season home game the Portland
Pirates give the fans the shirts off their backs. Funds raised from the raffle
are donated to the Portland Pirates Foundation. The date for the promotion
will be announced in August. |

Puck Pals
Locally owned businesses, organizations, clubs and individuals have the
opportunity to make a difference in the lives of area children, families
and adults serviced by the United Way of Greater Portland partner agencies.
