Mr. Bullard serves as the chair of the American Hockey League’s Legal Committee and
chaired an AHL committee focusing on spectator safety. He became a member of the
league’s Executive Committee in July 2003 and also serves on the league’s Strategic
Planning Committee.
Mr. Bullard, a partner at the Boston law firm of Choate, Hall & Stewart, has one of the
preeminent sports law practices in New England representing banks and teams in commercial
financing transactions, including sports lending and investment banking transactions
involving member clubs of Major League Baseball, Minor League Baseball, the National
Hockey League, the American Hockey League, the National Football League, and the National
Basketball Association. Mr. Bullard served as counsel to Delaware North Companies, Inc.
and New Boston Garden Corporation in connection with the $120,000,000 credit facility
required to construct the Fleet Center Arena in Boston. He also represented America3
Foundation in America’s Cup Competitions as well as other clients involved in the
professional and amateur sports world. Mr. Bullard served as counsel to The Country
Club for the 1999 Ryder Cup Golf Competition. In addition, Mr. Bullard represents
privately owned companies in acquisitions, financings and general business matters.
Mr. Bullard is an active participant in his community, serving as the Chairman of the
Board the Massachusetts Sports Commission and on the Board of Directors for AbilityPlus,
Inc., Cochrane & Porter Insurance Agency, Inc. and DogWatch, Inc., as well as coaching
youth soccer and hockey in Needham, Massachusetts and for the Charles River Girls Hockey
Club. He also serves on the Board of Governors of The Country Club.
Mr. Bullard and his
wife Julie live in Needham, Massachusetts and have two children, Lyman and Sarah.
