Portland Pirates Hockey Schools
The Portland Pirates Hockey Schools, run by the Portland Junior
Pirates staff, consists of a wide range of programs covering skill development,
training/conditioning, skating, and team tactics, provide top quality instruction in
a supportive learning environment to assist players and coaches at all levels to meet
and exceed their hockey goals with an emphasis on skill development and fun.
In the past three years, over 500 players have participated at the Pirates Hockey Schools
in Portland and Biddeford.

Portland Junior Pirates
The Portland Junior Pirates, established by the Maine Hockey Group in March, 2003,
consist of three junior and midget development teams for players 16 to 20 years of
age and five youth hockey teams who seek a highly competitive athletic and social
environment. The program is headquartered at the Biddeford Ice Arena and maintains
a unique player development and marketing relationship with the AHL's Portland Pirates.
The Portland Junior Pirates business is a joint venture between the Maine Hockey Group
and the Portland Pirates Foundation.
