EIGHT GAMES TO BE CARRIED LOCALLY LIVE ON TIME WARNER CABLE SPORTS

Portland, Maine - The Portland Pirates of the American Hockey League announced today their television schedule for the 2009-10 season. The eight-game schedule begins this Saturday when the Pirates face-off against the Bridgeport Sound Tigers live at 7 p.m. from the Cumberland County Civic Center.

The eight games will be available in Time Warner Cable’s service areas throughout Maine and New Hampshire where ever TWC-TV is available. Depending upon location, TWC TV is usually found on channels 9, 12 or 21. The games will also be replayed once the following week. In addition, these games will be available to Time Warner Cable’s Video On Demand customers throughout Maine and New Hampshire on TWC On-Demand and tape delayed (as schedules permits) on Time Warner Cable SportsNet-Buffalo, in Buffalo New York.

The next Pirates (3-7) home game takes place this Friday when the Lowell Devils visit the CCCC on Breast Cancer Awareness Night, presented by Paradigm Window Solutions. The Pirates will wear commemorative specialty jerseys, which will be included in a silent auction during and following the game. The proceeds from the auction, as well as a portion of the game’s 50/50 sales, will be donated to the Maine Medical Center Cancer Institute's Breast Care Center. In addition, the Pirates have committed to donate $3 from every advanced ticket purchased through this promotion to the Maine Medical Center Cancer Institute's Breast Care Center to help promote breast health and research. In order for a donation to be made, tickets for Friday’s game must be purchased by calling the Pirates office at (207) 828-4665 ext. 317. Advance or game-day tickets purchased at the CCCC Box Office will not qualify for the $3 donation.

Ticket plans for the 2009-2010 season are available at the Pirates office, located at 94 Free Street in Portland.
