Evening with the Pirates
AHOY! It's a Pirate's life for us!
The Portland Pirates Foundation hosted the 2008 Evening with the
Pirates - A Night of Grog, Grub and Games presented by Ameriprise Financial
on Tuesday, March 4, 2008 from 6-10 p.m. at the Holiday Inn By the Bay.
On behalf of the Portland Pirates Foundation, presenting sponsor Ameriprise
Financial, host Bob Marley and The Barbara Bush Children's Hospital at Maine
Medical Center,
we thank you for your support of the 2008 Evening with the
Pirates. The event raised over $26,000! In the ten years of this event we
have now raised over $245,000 for local charities and community programs
including The Barbara Bush Children's Hospital at Maine Medical Center.
It was a terrific success because Pirates fans' generosity.
Over 400 friends joined Pirates players to enjoy a Night of Grog, Grub and
Games- with silent and live auctions, gaming and live buccaneer music from
the Calypso Cowboys, plenty of grog from Pepsi and
Gritty McDuff's and
grub from some of downtown Portland's finest galleys. All to support a
world-class children's hospital, The Barbara Bush Children's Hospital at
Maine Medical Center!
We appreciate your help in making this a great success. Due to your support,
the Portland Pirates Foundation and The Barbara Bush Children's Hospital can
continue to serve our community and those in need of care.
