The Portland Pirates Foundation will be holding the 2010 Evening with the Pirates, presented by Irving Oil on Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at the Holiday Inn by the Bay.
Join your favorite member of the Pirtaes for a fun-filled, booty shaking night. The 2010 Evening with the Pirates, presented by Irving Oil, will feature Maine's premiere disco band, Motor Booty Affair. Motor Booty Affair so put on your best platform Pirate garb and get ready to shake your Pirate Booty! Along with the great entertainment, we will be raising funds for Gary's House as well as other local charities through a silent auction.

The Portland Pirates will have ice time from 7:40 AM to 8:40 AM as part of the “Try Hockey for Free Event” that we are doing in conjunction with USA Hockey’s “Hockey Weekend Across America”.
Also on January 30th the Pirates and Casco Bay Youth Hockey will be holding a "Try Hockey for Free Event" at the Cumberland County Civic Center from 7:40 AM to 8:40 AM. Please enter though the Zamboni entrance of the Civic Center. This event is for kids up to and including 10 years of age. To sign up please click here to send an email to the President of the Casco Bay Hockey Association including name of participant, age and if the child plays in CBYHA. The session is limited to 60 participants. All participants must supply their own helmet, skates and stick, although full equipment is preferred if available. Youngsters do not have to be a member of Casco Bay Youth Hockey Association to participate in the event, which will include instruction, games, and a whole lot of fun. You do not need to be a USA Hockey member to participate in the event.

The ten people to be honored at this game were nominated and selected through UNUM’s Fourth Annual Maine Educators’ Hall of Fame, supported by the Portland Pirates.
